1.2.3.P Furniture Design

Step 1) Open your Time Card for this week from inside your GTT Turn in Folder. Double check that it has your name and period on it.

Step 2) Open Canvas and make a copy of 1.2.3. P Furniture Design into your GTT Turn in Folder.

Step 3) Watch the video below, it will help you fill out the design brief for this project.  Please watch, pause, rewind and re-watch it as many times as needed to clearly identify what you are being asked to do.

Step 4) Working with your partner, each of you will create 3 different solutions to the problem using grid paper or any drawing program currently on your computer.

Step 5) Work on completing the paperwork and evaluate each of your solutions together. Using a 1-4 scale with 1 being low and 4 being high.

Step 6) Find the "best" solution and model it using real world dimensions in Autodesk Inventor.

1.2.2 Design Elements

Step 1) Open and make a copy of 1.2.2. A Design Elements into your GTT Turn in Folder by clicking where it says "1.2.2. A Design Elements" then save that into your GTT Turn in Folder erasing the words "Copy of" and changing the @ to be your initials.

Step 2) Watch the video below, it will help you fill out the paperwork for this assignment.  Please watch, pause, rewind and re-watch it as many times as needed to clearly identify what you are being asked to do.

Step 3) Working with your partner, you will go through filling out all of the information about design elements.

Step 4) When you are done with all of this, please go into your Canvas account and submit it using the submit this assignment feature.  Find the paperwork inside your "GTT Turn in Folder" and click on submit.

1.2.1 Design Process

1) If this is the first day of a new week, please check your Canvas account to see what you earned last week in the class.
2) For the first part of the worksheet for 1.2.1 you will need to watch the first video. Please make a copy of the worksheet into you GTT Turn in folder to be turned in before Friday.




3) For the second part of the worksheet, you will need to Log in to a computer with headphones and listen to one of the Design Squad videos from Season 2. You can choose from: Cardboard Furniture, PVC Kayak, Green Machines, Gravity Bikes, Water Dancing, Backyard Thrill Ride, Big Bugs, Aquatic Robotics, Band Cam, No Crying in Baseball, Hockey Net Target, Off-Road Go-Karts 1, and Off-Road Go-Karts 2.
